Chemical Management Policy

As Aksa Akrilik Kimya Sanayii A.Ş., we perform all our activities focusing on human health and the environment, and we share them with our stakeholders transparently.

In line with our Chemical Management Policy,

  • In addition to national laws and regulations, we voluntarily meet the requirements of international standards and legislations such as REACH, OEKO-TEX 100, ZDHC MRSL.
  • We request "Safety Data Sheet" for all purchases and sample procurements, and share the forms that are confirmed to be compliant with the legislation with all our employees by our document management system.
  • We list all purchased, stored or used chemicals in our Chemical Inventory.
  • We analyze the risks and hazards related to chemicals and evaluate alternative chemicals that are eligible with regards to performance and economy in order to reduce those risks and hazards.
  • In the working areas where chemicals are used, we take occupational health and safety measures in order to prevent our employees getting exposed to chemicals.
  • We prepare emergency action plans for protecting our employees and the environment, we regularly review them and inform our employees.
  • Every six months, we provide trainings about chemical management to all employees working with chemicals, and we document those trainings.
  • For all the chemical substances used in our facility, we are committed to minimizing the risks related to exposure and hazards that could occur during purchasing, transporting, storing, using and disposing the waste produced after use.
